Data protection
In short: this site sets no cookies, uses no analytics or tracking services and loads nothing from third-party servers. The legally binding version is the German notice.

Hosting and server logs
This site consists of static files. They are stored with Amazon Web Services (Amazon Web Services EMEA SARL, 38 Avenue John F. Kennedy, L-1855 Luxembourg) in the Frankfurt region and delivered through the network of Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA).
With every request these providers process technically necessary data, in particular IP address, date and time, the requested address, the referrer, and browser and operating system. This serves the secure and reliable delivery of the pages (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). I don't analyse this data or combine it with other data. Cloudflare may process data in the USA; Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
Cookies and local storage
This site sets no cookies. Two features store settings only in your browser's storage (localStorage),
and only when you use them: the colour theme you chose (light or dark) and, in the "Blocks" mini game, your high
score and whether the controls hint has been shown. This data never leaves your device. Storing it is necessary
for these features you asked for (§ 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG). You can delete it at any time in your browser settings.
Fonts, images and videos
All fonts, images and videos are loaded from this domain. No third-party content is embedded, such as Google Fonts, YouTube or social media plugins.
Contact by email
If you email me, I process your details to answer your request (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR). I delete them once they are no longer needed for that and no statutory retention periods apply.
Links to other websites
This site links to other services such as GitHub, Mastodon, LinkedIn, Amazon or Google Play. Their privacy policies apply only once you follow such a link.
Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (Art. 21). An informal email is enough.
You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for me is the Hessian Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.
